Change for me is to peel off the layers of who I believed I was to reveal more of who I really am.
This is the second painting in a series using canvas glued to the stretched canvas surface as a relief. In this painting, numerous layers of tissue paper have been glued to the edge of the circle for further relief. A circle has been cut out of a square piece of canvas and, as with the triangle pieces, there is the feeling of 'breaking away', which to me is symbolic of many changes I have put myself through in order to further develop myself as a caring and loving human being.
